Forgive me for getting behind!

I started this blog and then didn't keep up, and forgot how to use it.
I am in the process of trying to figure out how to post all my past walks from 2009.
If anyone reads this and can help, I would appreciate it!

Canby Swan Island Dahlia 10K Walk

I had a great day in Canby today!
I have wanted to go to the Swan Island Dahlia Walk
for many years ...I finally made it! :)

Now I hope to go every year!

I got a late start, so I knew I was not going to
get there in time to meet up with
the Sherwood Merry Walkers.

But when I got to the corner of the flower field and the road,
I asked 2 ladies walking by if they would please take a
picture of me by the flowers.
I had made it through the rows of flowers and sprinklers
at the start of the walk with out getting wet.
But..while posing for my picture the sprinklers were behind me,
and got me! :)
Along with my map...now the print was all smeared!
Shelly and Shary didn't have a camera
so I offered to take their picture and send it to them in an E mail.
I was going to get their E mail, and they saw my wet unreadable map,
and offered me one of theirs. (and put their EM's on it too)

I told them this was only my 3rd AVA walk, and 2nd 10K.
We started walking and talking, and stayed together for the whole 10K!
I am so glad they were there,
the walk would have taken me a lot longer with out them!
I take walks too slow and take many pictures along the way.

I still took 204 pictures, most of which were after we completed
the walk, and stayed to look at the multitudes of Dahlias!
I have so many favorites I would love to order and plant!
And if I didn't love the flower...then there were the names for each flower..!
If you have never been to swan Island and seen these beautiful Dahlias...Please go!
but in the mean time, look at my pictures to inspire you!

We ended the day,
parting ways and looking forward to
connecting by EM and on Facebook! :)

I was tired and very sore,
so I went straight to
Cherrywood Village Wellness Center,
and got in the hot tub!
Then I did 1/2 Hr in the pool, and back to the hot tub!
Then back in the pool to cool off,
(I love the feeling of going from the Hot tub to the Pool!)
and then home!
What a great Day! :)
